Antique Larkin Modjeska Sachet Powder Bottle
$25.00
An original Modjesca Sachet Powder bottle from the Larkin Co., Buffalo, New York. The bottle measures 2 5/8 tall x 1 5/8 wide x 1 3/8 deep and features a brass screw on top. The label is a bit rough however still completely legible. There are no chips or cracks. John D. Larkin began a modest soap factory in Buffalo, New York, in 1875 and marketed two products: Sweet Home Soap and Crθme Oatmeal, a toilet soap. It was sold to customers through the usual methods of middlemen and wholesalers. Soon the company began experimenting with a new marketing campaign that would eventually produce "The Larkin Idea."
